MELFA — Republican candidate for state Attorney General, Sen. Ken Cuccinelli, and Melody Scalley, Republican challenger for the House of Delegates 100th District seat, were among a dozen speakers at a political rally Wednesday on the front lawn of Eastern Shore Community College.
The event drew a crowd of around 80, including political staffers and representatives of conservative advocacy groups like The Family Foundation, Campaign for Liberty— a political organization founded by former Presidential candidate Ron Paul — and FairTax.org, which supports a national retail sales tax.
Following a common theme of preceding speakers, Cuccinelli said he is in favor of limiting the role of federal government.
